Close Grip Barbell Bench Press - Triceps Exercise

This exercise for triceps is also known as: close grip bench press, close grip barbell bench press, close grip bench and close grip benching.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS EXERCISE: To develop and also strength the triceps.

So this is a very great bodybuilding exercise for triceps to develop the triceps muscles and gain strength.

 

Close Grip Barbell Bench Press Instructions:

  • Lie back on a flat bench.
  • Using a close grip (around shoulder width), lift the bar from the rack and hold it straight over you with your arms locked.
  • This will be your starting position.
  • As you breathe in, come down slowly until you feel the bar on your middle chest.

Finally repeat the movement for desired number or repetitions.

Bodybuilders can perform this exercise also using an E-Z Bar Barbell and Dumbbells.
