This exercise is also known as : Leg Raises and Abdominal Leg Raises Exercise.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS EXERCISE : To develop and strengthen especially the lower abdominal muscles.

Leg Raises Instructions :

  • Lie on the floor and hold onto a bench. In case if you don't have a bench use the legs of a heavy chair for support.
  • Keep your legs straight and raise them up until they’re vertical.
  • Lower back down, but stop just short of the floor to keep tension on your abs before the next rep.

You can perform this exercise at Home on a floor or in a Gym using a flat bench.

This is a great exercise and good way to develop and strengthen your lower abs. No matter what some experts are telling about this exercise, talking from my own experience i still claim that this is a very good exercise to develop and strengthen the lower abdominal muscles.
